According to popular research, dogs need and want a strong pack leader. You are that pack leader.
They are looking to you to control:
food

Evaluating Puppy Traits
Evaluating traits is an ongoing and fluid practice. While traits are not set in stone, I can see some early tendencies and reasonably predict an overall temperament if an individual puppy is provided with a loving home. These traits include the following:
-energy-level
-prey-drive
-tender-heartedness
-confidence
-resource-guarding potential
-fearfulness
-shyness
-vigor
I believe most dogs exhibit some of these and other traits to some degree. My observations and careful evaluations help me determine which dogs most dominantly exhibit certain traits.
I listen to your wants and needs. What are you looking for in a new puppy who will grow up in your world? I assist you by discussing the pros and cons of a couple of top choice pups with you.
When and however possible, you should have a chance to observe the pups, as well. You may see something in a pup that I do not see because you know something about your world that I do not know. The final decision is, of course, yours to make. However, I will always give you my best recommendation based on temperament.
Finally, I support your decision by being there for you and your pup. Bringing in a new pup is a lovely, yet sometimes demanding venture. I know. I will suggest a local trainer when I know of one in your area. I will suggest youtube videos, books, other networks. And, I will listen.

My Favorite Puppy Finds:
Cuddle Puppy with Heartbeat: I find this to be valuable at first. Though your puppy may not use it long-term, a brand new puppy will likely find comfort in the heartbeat and soft cuddle puppy. It is worth the money even for a short while.
Crinkle Duck Toy: This is a favorite for my tiny puppies just beginning to play and my large goldendoodles, too! It holds up pretty well, and the price is great. I just throw it in the washer and dryer when it starts looking too dirty!
Comfort Bed: I haven’t met a puppy yet who doesn’t love this bed! Again, just throw it in the washer and dryer when it gets too dirty!
No Stuffing Set of Animals: I love these! They are so much fun! They hold up really well, and again, they are washable and dryable in the dryer!
Puppy Indestructibles: These are cute and tough! My puppies love them because they are just about their size. They are very durable, and again, washable and dryable in a dryer!
Cat, Puppy Tunnel: I find the smallest puppies are ready to explore the tunnel!
Elevated Small Pet Bed: The small puppies love these! They hang out under them and sit on top of them, too. They are not impossible to put together, and I just scrub them a little when they get dirty and let them dry in the sun.
