Puppy Policies

What I Do and Why I Do It
  1.  I welcome a new dog as a pet:  Each dog starts as a pet welcomed into our home to provide companionship, joy, healing.  Each dog is welcomed as a soul deserving of reciprocal care, love, opportunities.

2.  I raise a dog:  I take on the responsibility of raising that dog. I do everything I can to nurture and encourage that dog to grow into his/her best self.

3. I breed a dog:  When the time and conditions are right, I breed the dog.  I set up the best breeding circumstances and consider every pre- and post-breeding need.

4.  I raise the puppies:  Along with the dam, I take on the responsibility of raising the puppies.  I do everything I can to give them the best start in life so that each puppy might be as prepared as possible for the wonders that lie ahead.

5. I place the puppies with clients:  I work with prospective clients to place each puppy based primarily on temperament.  While color and gender matter, I have an opportunity to observe, assess, and evaluate these puppies before they go to their permanent homes. Though the final decision is always the client’s, I give my best advice about which puppy is the best match.

6. I continue support:  I love to maintain communication with clients after they take the puppy home to ensure that, while there are NO perfect matches, clients have the resources they need to come pretty darn close.
